Restored Wooden Crate

I recently restored an old fruit wooden crate from the 50s with a French structure: note that the laths of wood are arranged vertically, as opposed to the Spanish ones in which the display is horizontal.

It was in a fairly good shape, so it only needed a slight cleaning and sanding, treating the wood and the addition of some colour -just stained in the outside to keep the original printed letters on the sides visible. I also added a set of old small casters, and now it can be used as a magazine, toys or blankets storage box.
Check the pictures below for further details.

Measures: 54cm long, 33cm deep, 31cm high.

Some pictures taken during the MAKING OF: cutting and sanding the old nails that were sticking out; and -once the wood was treated (not shown), painting the inside with a light gray colour.
Polishing the reclaimed casters and staining the outside of the crate in deep red.
Sealing it all with clear, water based varnish.
