Printer's Drawer Coffee Table

Another project that I finished recently: the conversion of a beautiful vintage printer's drawer into a coffee table, by means of a thorough cleaning, staining the bottom of each compartment, adding a set of steel hairpin legs and a thick glass pane cut to measure for the top surface.
A unique accent piece for the living room!

Measures: 81 x 55cm, 40cm high.

Some pictures taken during the MAKING OF process: the main parts ued to build the table; staining the bottom of each compartment, after a thorough cleaning of the drawer.
Cutting two pinewood boards and fastening them to the underside of the drawer, to strengthen the attachement of the legs later on.
Varnishing the whole piece (again, all the sides of each little compartment... a rather time-consuming task!). Attaching the hairpin legs
Lst steps: I changed the plastic handle for an older one, and added a thick glass pane cut to measure on top.
