A cute table in solid pinewood from the beginning of the 20th Century got renewed by means of stripping off the many layers of paint that had been applied throughout the years -in most areas, leaving a distressed effect on the top surface.
Also, the odd-lenght legs got trimmed to a more suitable height for a coffee table, and the whole piece was protected with water based clear varnish, then polished for a soft, satin finish.
