Victoria table lamp is a lush mix of chromed metal and glass, with a profusedly decorated shade (once a vintage ceiling fixture) crowning a more restrained pole (made out of a pipe extension and a part from a vintage lamp) and base (a jeweller's tray with three little legs plus a glass pot lid on top). The cord set is transparent and the bulb socket metallic to match the sleek combo.
Measures: 40cm high, shade 25cm diameter, base 20cm diameter.
The main parts used to make the lamp -detail of the tray that would become the base, with a Portuguese jeweller marking
First, cleaning the glass bits and polishing the metallic parts, then securing the glass top to the frame with epoxy adhesive
Drilling (and sanding the holes smooth) the base to make it 'fit' on top of the glass lid and let the cord out, wiring the lamp
Connections test passed! So, the pole can get attached to its glass base for good.
