I cherish old, rustic tools that were heavily used but surely not recognized in the past. I like to give them a second, much more glamourous chance to be useful! Example? This antique chesnut board to put the loaf of homemade bread inside the coal oven... so sturdy, such nice shapes...
I have treated it, tinted it with a dark stain, polished it till it's smooth as silk -and added an oval mirror to one side. Didn't need anything else, now it shines in all its minimalist, raw beauty! And it is useful again.
Measures: 36cm x 14cm, mirror 16cm x 14cm
