Revamped Cigar Box

This was a funny little project: recovering a small wooden box, similar to the classical cases used to keep cigars (this one had no labels, so it must have been made for another purpose). I painted the outside white, and distressed the surface to make the dark tone of the wood come out and add interest to the flat surface, added a bronze clasp and turned it jolly in the inside by covering the lid part with a strippy paper and painting the base with a matching chocolate brown colour.
There; a revamped, modernised box that can make itself useful again, keeping crayons, a stamp collection, jewelry and -of course- kids treasures!
The revamped cigar box measures 24,5 x 16cm, 5cm high.
