Lime Green Tool Box

I love boxes. I probably have a box-fixation, in fact... so I found this vintage one irresistible: a lovely cube, very well crafted in thick pine wood, with a simple lid fastened with a long bronze hinge -and it has a tray inside! Underneath the tray the sides get thicker and round shaped, as if they were intended to keep some kind of a tool. Maybe a scale, and the tray on top was to keep the little weighs?

In any case, after a thorough cleaning, sanding, polishing and varnishing -plus the addition of a fresh lime green colour in the inside and the bottom/lower part of the sides- is now a decorative little box ready to be useful again!

It measures 18,5 x 14,5cm, 15cm high

Here, a bunch of pictures of the box from every angle, and in detail:

The box, in its original -dirty- state; and a couple of pictures of the making process: sanding and painting with a custom-made lime green colour.
