A cute stool made out of two: the seat of an old black wooden one, quite thick, and the metallic feet of another one from the 60s.
I liked the wooden seat as it was: nicely distressed due to heavy use through time, so I just treated the wood and protected it with a lacquered-like varnish that also brightens up the colours.
The original paint of the metallic feet wasn't very nice, plus it had cracked in many parts, and they had rusted here and there. I polished the tips and painted the feet in bright yellow, making a nice contrast with the seat -both in colour, finish and material!
The Bee Stool has a diameter of 32cm, and is 45cm high.
A picture of the parts, prior the transformation -And some of the making process: cutting the legs of the black stool, treating the wooden surface against wood worms, scraping the rust off the metallic feet, priming them (just about to, in the picture), and painting them yellow.
