Baby Owl boxes

And the Owl Gang keeps growing... these two are the baby ones, smaller than the rest but with all the same features as their big brothers! cute, innit?

They both are made out of a small wooden box, turned upside-down then sanded and stained with a water-based, wengué colour varnish; with bronzed hinges and chrome clasp closure to form the beak.
Other elements include some new and old rusty washers for the huge eyes and a couple of thick bolts and washers for the legs and feet. Their wings are made out of two flaps from a small cooking steamer basket, and the pointy ears are made out of those metallic bits used to secure pictures to the frames.
5,5 x5,5 cm, 8cm high.
