Brisa is the second floor lamp that I've made so far.
It is mainly made out of chrome vintage lamp parts taken from several different light fixtures from the 70s, including some table and ceiling ones, and also three rigged milk glass shades from a 60s chandelier.
There are other pieces with unusual origins, like the bottom of a cake mould, a rubber band from a coffee maker, a tap cover, one half of a bulb socket from the early 60s... and to top it all, an industrial fan guard with an elegant trim of chrome ball chains and frosted glass hang drops from a chandelier, plus an inox pull from a pan lid that used as the finial.
The final look is a surprising combination of modern and classic, with Art Deco 'touches', delicate lines and shiny surfaces!
The Brisa floor lamp is 146cm high, 50cm diameter, and uses three small bulbs (like those for fridges, but with a higher voltage). The cord is 2meters long, with a black and white foot switch.
For a better description: give way to the pictures!
And some more pictures, this time of the making process: a general view of the parts (before I decided to use the fan grid on top); polishing one of the vintage lamp elements -the canopy; mounting the top area; wiring; preparing the fan guard and the fancy trim.
