Vintage Baby Walker turned into Side Table

I recently transformed a cute old wooden baby walker from the beginning of the 20th Century into an adjustable side table, by means of removing the tiny casters and the ragged piece of cloth that used to hold the baby's body, and adding an extra groove for maximum height, plus a thick glass pane cut to measure.

The piece got cleaned and sealed with several coats of clear varnish, but I decided to leave the wooden surfaces as they were, with the beautiful traces of the original teal paint untouched. Check the pictures below for further details.

Measures: Surface 42 x 28cm, and the table is 47cm wide, 56cm long. The height can be adjusted to 35, 40 and 50cm.

Making Of: The baby walker, once cleaned, slightly sanded and with the ragged piece of cloth and the small casters removed. I then sealed it with several coats of clear varnish and polished the whole structure. The piece of glass, cut to measure and with sanded edges.
Attaching the glass pane with old brass clasps, traditionally used to secure wall mirrors to their back wooden frames in the first decades of the 20th Century.
