It had been a long time since I last made a robot, so it's been a pleasure to recently add up another memeber to the Trash Family!
SkinBot is a commissioned robot that aims to represent an original skinhead from 60's UK, although the depiction got a wee mixed up with a dancing Rude Boy.. oh well, the addressee likes both movements.
It is made in a similar way to the Retro Robots (check them out here, here and here), with a tea strainer ball, nuts, screws, bolts, electrical wire for the suspenders, spring and wire for the arms, a couple of plastic drawer pulls for the boots, a strange vintage connector with a cute label for the head and varios other bits and bobs.
Measures: 16cm high
Oh and, if you are as confused as I was, check this link if you feel like knowing more about the skinhead movement -they weren't racists nor fascists!
