Antique Dressmaker's Mannequin, Restored

A dressmaker's mannequin from the beginning of the 20th Century, recently restored in our workshop.

It had all been painted in white and the central pole was boken, plus the solid walnut wood had been attacked by woodworms -so we stripped off the paint from the wooden parts, treated it and repaired the pole. The final touches involved a slight staining and polishing for a smooth, satin touch.

Measures: Form is 74cm high, shoulders 38cm wide; mannequin total height 144cm

A few pictures taken during the MAKING OF process: stripping off the paint and filling the holes with wood putty, once the wooden parts got treated
Staining the wooden parts, and fixing the central pole -to finish with a good polishing (picture below)
