Lighthouse Table Lamp

Here it is, a new table lamp made entirely out of salvaged metallic bits! The Lighthouse Table Lamp has an industrial feel and a sleek design, that make it look great when it's switched off... and when it's on it casts impressive shadows all around it! All and all, an original, eye-catching piece.

It is made out of a vintage stainless steel grid in the shape of a tube of mysterious origin (maybe it belonged to a swanky traditional wine bottle cooler bucket, even at the shop where I got it they weren't sure), with an inox bowl fitted on its base and a little inox plate from the 70s plus a metallic door knob to form the lid. The bulb socket is also a chrome one, and the cord set is transparent to match the design of the lamp.

Measures: 30cm total height, lid and base diameter 15cm, grid diameter 10cm.

The main parts used to make the Lighthouse Table Lamp:
Cleaning and polishing both the grid and the future lid
Drilling the hole on the lid to be able to fasten the drawer pull-finial, and cutting the gap in the base of the grid for the cord
Sanding the cuts (on the right, the hole drilled on the cover of the base for the cord exit -it will be later extra protected with a plastic ring)
And, finally, wiring and mounting the lamp -had to do it all at the same time! (note that the base gets properly adjusted to its cover by means of a rubber brim)
