Milkshake Table Lamp

This elegant table lamp, with its minimalistic streamline and use of glamourous materials is a homage to Art Déco style. It is made of an assemblage of various bronze parts and a vintage white milkglass shade with a swanky brass trim (turned upside-down).

The square shaped base used to be a trophy stand, and the lid was the cover of the motor in a ceiling fan (took a while to dismatle it, but it fitted perfectly, yay!), four brass screws keep it in place on top of the glass shade. The 'finial' is made out of a bronze drawer knob from the late 70s and an old brass embellishment.
Even the bulb socket is a vintage brass one, in mint condition and extra-checked, of course. The cotton cord follows the colour pattern with its mustard tone, and both the plug and the switch are white.

Measures: 20cm diameter, 30cm high

Some pics of the making process- above: the parts; below: taking the motor apart to retrieve the lid; drilling the hole in the bronze base,
wiring the lamp, and connecting the switch
