Wicker Armchair with Patch Cushion

This is the makeover of a vintage wicker armchair bought in a thrift store: it was in a general good condition and very comfy, but needed a minor repair in the attachement of one of the arms, a renewing coat of paint and a cushion for the seat.

I decided to keep the original black colour, as it matches the groovy cushion perfectly well: that one is made out of a patchwork blanket that sported tons of vintage pieces of material from the 60s and 70s! The result is a stricking piece of furniture that will cheer up any room in the house.

The seat is really comfortable and wide (46cm diameter) and the total highth is 74cm, 63cm at its widest point.
Some pictures of the making process: once the armchair structure was repaired (one of the arms was loose at the bottom) and scrubbed clean, it was the turn of several coats of shiny black paint. The cushion was crafted out of a patchwork blanket and then filled up.
