Restored Antique Lamp

Unlike most of my other works, in this case I didn't intervene into, took apart or changed the purpose of the original piece. This lamp is so gorgeous that it deserved to just be restored and be admired as it is!
It is a table lamp from around 1915, the kind they used on bedside tables and one of the first models conceived for that relatively new commodity in the houses: electricity!

60cm tall, the arm is 30cm long. This one had been rewired some time around the 60s, and I changed the horrid stuff for a new braided cotton cord, plus black switch and plug. I added the vintage frosted shade, one that follows the general look and casts a lovely light and shadows. The ball joint plus junction still works perfectly well, and allows the arm to move smoothly up and down the pole, turn and rotate in any direction desired. The metal is white casted brass, with beautiful rigged and floral decorations, the finial and shade holder are especially impressive! Here are some pictures to see this fabulous piece in detail:
Some shots of the lamp prior its restoration: very good condition but in need of a serious cleaning, polishing, re-wiring... and a shade!
