Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Pepa Pepper, a truly spicy lady that comes all the way from sunny Spain!
-although, to be honest, that is just for the stage: the old, rusty, arm-less pepper grinder that shapes her sultry body was made in France... but during its restoration, the stamp was conveniently covered by coats of red paint to add the amount of drama required for a diva.
And then a new 15cm high star was born.
The rest of parts, like in former members of the Trash Sculpture collection (Josef, Mr. Nutter and Madame Lacloche), include new and vintage screws, washers, pieces from an old sewing machine, a sanded wooden knob and different kinds of beads.
Pepa's shiny earrings are made with two drops of stained glass from India. They jiggle a lot and catch all the attention -that's why she tries to turn her head as much as possible, which is just fine 'cause she's a pepper grinder, after all!
Divina Pepapeper, también ha tenido mucho éxito por acá. Queremos saber si sigue funcionando como pimentera y de qué está hecha la nariz.

Por supuesto que sigue funcionando! La limpié, pulí y di esplendor por dentro y por fuera, o sea que aunque sea vintage aún está en uso. A falta del bracito de este tipo de pimenteros, le da vueltas la cabeza- jajaja. Aunque para tenerla en la cocina y que se pringue de salicaduras da un poco de pena, no? En fin, también se puede lavar, pero con cuidado al frotar con estropajo. Lo normal, quoi.
ReplyDeleteEl narizón es la mitad de un pomito de madera (y costó mucho cortarlo en dos..)------- y como aún queda la otra mitad, igual te tomo el desafío de hacer a Pepe Salero, hombre! Olé! jajaja
