A warm, rustic touch for the bathroom: toilet roll holder made out of a drawer taken from an old sewing machine table.
The roll is held by a wooden rod and easily changed just by lifting it. I have also added a little shelf to store a spare roll or any other small items on top.
An old brass cup handle on the former front of the drawer completes the 'cottage' feel.
Measures: 35cm high, 15.5cm wide, 11 cm deep
THE MAKING OF:
Here on the right, the main parts used to build the toilet roll holder.
Below, sanding the old drawer and fixing part of the back, that was a little loose.
Cutting both the little slats to hold the shelf and the bar for the roll
Painting the back of the drawer, and varnishing it all
Finally, polishing the cup handle, and attaching it
