Round Metallic Vintage Mirror, Renewed

Some time ago I got this round mirror from the late 60s, quite big (50cm diameter). I liked its shape, but not the brass with golden finish. The scratches and a slight rust in some parts of the frame gave me the idea of the new look: a shabby-chic, aged off-white with some of the brass showing from underneath.
It was a long, delicate process of many thin layers of almost transparent paint, distressing, darkening, painting again.. but it was worth it, as the result is a much fresher and quite elegant mirror that suits our decoration nowadays!

Here below: the frame, prior the 'intervention' -close up showing the rust in some parts.

And some pictures taken during the renovation process:
one of the many, very subtle and thin layers of paint,

distressing the surface between coats of paint,
and the almost finished frame, with the last layer of white paint on top of the antiquing cream. Then it would come the varnishing and polishing.
