Xmas Tree Lamp & 1Unik Festive Showroom

I'm late on this post! It's been amusingly hectic, lately -many visitors in the workshop, plus family reunion, plus lotsa things to do... very good on the social, creative and bussiness side, but the online 'world' got neglected -oops.

To compensate, here are a big bunch of pics, including a funny Xmas project -and the Festive Season in Spain is not over yet! You can still come over to have a look and get a little something to give away on the 6th of January: The Three Wise Men gifting day is round the corner!.

1Unik Showroom will be open at normal hours, 10.30-14.30 and 17-20.30, from the 2nd of January onwards.

CHRISTMAS TREE LAMP
A funky-yet-elegant decoration  for the workshop during Christmas. It is made out of three piled up lamp shades, an old vintage brass lamp base (that got painted gold at some point in its life so suited this project well), an antique bronze pole, profusedly decorated with leaves, some other old lamp parts -and a salvaged bike pinion for the finial star!

Some shots taken during the 'making of' process: choosing the parts; drilling a bigger hole in the vintage base (so the modern cord would fit through); and fastening the piled shades to form the body of the tree.. had to be stable enough, but also removable! tricky one.

The last pic shows the finished Xmas Tree Lamp, before the decoration: I prefer it this way, but thought it would blend in better with the rest of the place adding strings of shiny red balls. Mmm, still not convinced, ha ha.

FESTIVE 1UNIK SHOWROOM: A picture gallery showing the Christmas decorations all over the place.
The garland at the entrance (with ribbons made with upholstery burlap bands); the door wreath; the garland and 'rustic' baubles in the counter; and the decorated wall tree (with the addition of little birds from India, made with recycled pieces of cloth)
