Been busier than ever, these past two weeks: the showroom space needed a whole redo, along with the workshop area, so there would be more space to display the furniture and stuff and also so I could work in the front part that is open to the public, in order to be able to open more hours during the day... the 'inside' areas are not finished yet, but the 'public' space is.
This is the result of the intensive refurbishing. I hope you like it, you're more than welcome to pass by and visit!
NEW OPEN HOURS, FROM 5th DECEMBER 2012 ON:
*** Tuesday to Saturday, 10-14 & 17-20.30h ***
THE NEW COUNTER
It's a mix of different pieces, much in the 'Frankenstein style' of 1Unik... the front part used to be the back of an old wardrobe from the 19th Century, and I've treated it plus painted it with a rustic, aged finish. The top part is framed by a gorgeous window salvaged from an antique cabinet (the glass is beveled -mmm), some pieces of wood and a wooden coat hanger without the legs. That 'finial' reminds me a bit to Gaudí's chimneys, ha ha. It'll be useful to hang little ceiling lamps or other stuff!
The space is not only a counter, I will be able to make the jewelry there too -see all the colourful cords? and those million drawers are full of tools, little parts and beads!
