Parchís Side Table
Now, this was a fun project!
A revamped vintage side table from the 70s: it was in a good general condition, had nice lines and curved corners -but looked terribly gloomy, all tinted in an almost black tone.
I cheered it up using a playful combination of four basic colours -yellow, blue, red and green (like the ones in the traditional Spanish board game Parchís).
Basic, but slightly altered into pastel yellow for the inner panels, lime green for the front drawer and lower inside panels, aqua blue on the handle and side panels, and cherry red on top.
I left all the trims in their original finish, so now the colours are 'framed' and the curved details stand out -It looks a bit like a Mondrian picture!
This is the table, prior its restoration (I was choosing an appropiate handle for the drawer, too -the longer, curved one 'won')
This cheerful table will make a bold statement in an entrance, teens room or even a living room. It measures 55 x 35cm, 61cm high.
