If you have been following this blog for a while you'd probably noticed by now my love for metallic, industrial pendant lamps. Well, here comes another one, and it turned out to be quite elegant!
Made with a gorgeous vintage shade, enamelled in black on the outside and in white on the inside, plus some chrome parts of different origins that I adapted to attach the bulb socket (also chrome) and make a nice 'topping'.
The braided cotton cord is black as well, as is the conic cup that hides the ceiling connections.
Measures of the shade: 36cm diameter, 18cm high.
The cord is 2 meters long, to be able to hung the lamp rather low, or away from the connections on the ceiling.
The parts used to make the lamp, here on the left.
Below, some pics taken during the making process:
Polishing the vintage chome parts, mounting the 'neck' to where the bulb socket would be attached,
Wiring... and finaly, testing that everything is fine!
