1Unik Workshop in Springtime

The workshop front is beginning to take shape!
I've upcycled a couple of long, narrow shutters to serve as signs with the description of the stuff that is made inside in English, Spanish French and Catalan.(1Unik logo will go in the middle, but I'm still waiting for the printing store to have them ready. 'Soon', they said..). The frames are painted white and distressed, and the inside is in chalkboard paint. Like that I can re-write the text as many times as I want -very convenient, being the picky prefectionist that I am.

There are also white geraniums and cute orange chrysanthemums planted in old strainers and hung on top of the signs, plus a 'Lady of the Night' (cestrum nocturnum) already looking lush in her big black rusted planter at the entrance. Yipee- yay to the cheerful plants!

The timetable that is now handwritten in the window next to the entrance will also improve, I've ordered a decall in white so it will be readable during daylight. (Update on this soon)

And the inside is fuller than ever, as I'm creating heaps of new stuff non stop -So much so that I'm having a hard time trying to keep up-to-date with the posting of the recent creations.. sure you'll be able to spy in the pictures quite a few items that have yet to be published here!

Well, if you live in lovely Barcelona you are more than welcome to come over and visit in person. Especially this coming weekend, as we'll be taking part in the three day event Tallers Oberts of Poble Sec neighbourhood, from Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th of May:
There will be almost 40 workshops open to the public in which the artisans will show their creations -along with concerts, many various activities and a scrumptious display of 'tapas' at special prices offered by the many local bars! Sure not a thing to miss: see you then!
