Teardrop Table Lamp

Despite its seemingly simple lines, Teardrop is a swanky table lamp that catches de eye both when it is switched on and when it's turned off!

Made with a gorgeous vintage turquoise-blue glass vase in the shape of a drop, turned into lamp shade by setting it upside-down on a shiny round chrome base and piercing its now upper part, in order to fix a stricking finial made with chrome parts (a drawer pull from the 70s, some embellishment faucet rings and several washers) and the metallic cover of a bike bell in the same blue tone as the glass (check the detail pictures to get a better idea)

The shade is held by three big nut caps attached to the base, the cute white bulb socket is a salvaged one from the 60s (in perfect working condition), and is set on a chrome 'stem' plus bulb socket cup.
The cotton cord has the same bright blue tone as the glass shade, and the switch and plug are white. Total coordination, just as we like it!

Measures: 36cm high, 17cm at its widest point.
The parts, just before construction of the lamp (there are more than the ones I ended up using, because I decide which ones look best as I get closer to the final result); piercing the base weight to be able to nest the thick cotton cord;
polishing the vintage chrome parts; and a shot taken during wiring
