...So here it is, the jigsaw for beginners.
Theme: the farm.
Materials: soft wood board, acrylics, permanent marker(both non-toxic, knowing Leo he'll surelly taste the pieces before doing anything else with them - absolutely agree!), plastic nobs found unexpectedly in a beads shop that turned to be perfect for the job of handlers (didn't want to use tacks due to the pin, you should never underestimate the strenght of a child and it might happen that he would pull them out - ouch!).
Style: didn't want to, but finally decided to be realistic as it is suppoused to be a didactic toy- "how does the piggy do? -oink, oink! -and how does the little duck do? -quack, quack! " ...and so on and so on. His mother agreed and so I feel relieved, but nevertheless I cannot wait for him to grow up so I can develop a much freer style.
No need to say that I don't quite like the result as it doesn't look like mine at all, and the colours, argh, those horrid pastel colours!!! Want to go back to my beloved watercolours! I think next it will be a book, then. Can use watercolours and free freaky style as long as I plastify the pages, thee hee ;-)
