Reclaimed Wood and Steel Frame TV Stand

A media console in industrial style, mixing old pinewood boards reclaimed from a local warehouse, a big sliding drawer -with its original iron handle- taken from a vintage workshop desk and an edgy, modern structure in square steel tube. Check the pictures below and the 'Making Of' section for further details.

Measures: 90 x 38cm, 48cm high. Drawer 39 x 35cm

Some pictures taken during the MAKING process: the main parts used to build the TV stand; sanding one of the reclaimed pinewood boards
Cutting the boards to measure; treating the wood
Filling the tiny holes and gaps with wood putty; staining the bottom of the drawer (later on I changed the railing for a smoother, more stylish one)
Fastening the top surface to the steel frame first, then mounting the drawer and its railing system
All the parts, fitted. Then it came the sealing of the whole piece, with several coats of clear varnish, and polishing for a smooth, satin touch.
