Three Special Boxes

60s RED LEATHER SAVINGS BOX

A really cute savings box from the 60s, full of interesting details: rounded corners, brass hardware, gold lettering with the word 'Hucha' (savings box in Spanish), a handle and an original clasp. The outside is upholstered in authentic leather, bright red. The inside is in black velvet. I've done a general restoration and added the brass bar for the clasp.

Measures: 12cm wide, 9,5cm deep, 7cm high

MUSICAL 70s JEWELRY BOX

An original jewelry box with music, made in Japan in the 70s. The interior has compartiments upholstered in red velvet, and a mirror. I have covered the original ugly melamine on the front and top part of the lid with off-white enamel paint, and then added a colourful enamelled vintage medallion to cheer it all up.

Measures: 22cm wide, 8cm deep, 8 cm high

SAVINGS BANK WITH OLD CIGAR BOX

An old Cuban cigar box turned into savings bank by means of an uneven gap cut on its lid. I've treated the wood, reinforced the lid and added a clasp, plus made a rustic off-white finish that enhances the carved lettering. The box is also varnished and polished for protection and a smooth touch.
