Lola Pimienta
The new member of the Trash Family just joined in!... but first, let's gossip a bit:
Remember Pepa Pepper, that flamenco diva that was actually from France and became Pepe Salero's fling? Well, it turned out that fame was more important to her than love, and she left us a few months ago to develop her career in Berlin.
Pepe was sad and lonely, up to the point he asked me to help him open a profile in a dating website! And then, Lola Pimienta showed up.
An authentic Spaniard from the South made out of a wooden pepper grinder, she's got black shiny eyes, a cute beauty spot on her cheek, huge hoop earrings, a red flamenco dress and a dotted shawl plus hair comb. It was love at first sight, everyone agrees they make such a perfect couple. Together, Pepe Salero and Lola Pimienta will live happyly ever after!
Lola Pimienta, 15,5cm high, from every angle and detail: the wooden pepper grinder is painted in deep red and stressed, then varnished; the shawl is made out of a pierced aluminium foil taken from the dismantling of an old Mac laptop and secured to the body with tiny nails, the hair comb is cut from a steamer inox flap, her nose is a tiny piece of wood, the arms used to be handles in a vintage cupboard, and the rest of parts are various screws, nails, nuts and bits salvaged from old sewing machines and other rusty appliances.
And some shots taken during the making process: cutting the shape for the hair comb (on the left, the soon-to-be shawl), Lola's face starting to take shape and trimming the tiny bits of screw that would strengthen the attachement of the arms
