I can't resist industrial metallic shades, if I see one I take it home with me -even if it is in a really poor shape as this one from the early 60s was: all dirty, scratched and with the paint coat in its inner side chipped.. at least its nice curved lines were intact, no bumps or anything, so redemption was still possible!
I scrubbed and cleaned and polished and restored that shade, spray painting the inside with matte white enamel: it worked! -it looks fresh again, and along with a chrome bulb socket, a 1,30 meters long white cord and a white cup, it has become a dainty industrial pendant light -as lovely as Snow White.
Diameter: 30cm
The parts, before (I decided not to use the green cord in favour of a total white look); a close-up of the tattered shade;
Spraying the inside of the shade matte white (after a thorough cleaning); and finally the wiring and mounting
