Keyhole plate and red necklace

A surprising, rather elegant modern short necklace! It combines uncommon materials, displayed in an asymmetric way. Around 16cm long.

The main part is made out of a 7cm wide chrome keyhole plate (taken from a door from the 50s and thoroughly polished); linked to one side to a medium gauge twisted rolo nickel chain held in a loop and two original charms: a tiny padlock key and a cherry red glass bead from India.

The cord is a combination of black waxed linen thread and bright red suede string -joined with nickel crimps-, with another piece of nickel chain hooked to the crimps on the clasp side of the necklace.

The nickel lobster clasp hooks to one side of the keyhole plate.
