Pet Bed out of a Vintage Suitcase

Now, this was one fun, cute project! Rather easy to make (in fact, the idea is found in DIY searchs in internet), and rather effective: you only need a good looking vintage suitcase -this one is a 70s model with a dark green outside and mustard coloured satin lining-, four legs -in this case I used huge wooden drawer knobs, varnished in the same tone that the inside of the suitcase-, and a matching tissue for the cushion, plus filling -an early 80s table cloth, with tiny green flowers on white background seemed perfect por this.

The resulting pet bed is a luxurious gift for your small dog or cat, they'll love the comfy cushion! Also, you can store items in the big pocket in the lid (like brushes, pills, bags and so on) and close it up when it's not used.
Measures: 48x 38cm, 50cm high when open, 19cm high when closed.
