Lemon Ice Cream Table Lamp

Sixties are back for the summer with this cute table lamp in fresh neon yellow, milk glass ball shade and metallic accents, all contrasted with the black rubber brim.

Apart from the vintage glass shade, it is made out of a 60s melamine bowl (the neon yellow body) to which I attached an extruded rubber profile and a metallic base, plus the E27socket and the black cord, plug and switch (with a nice retro-look). The four legs are made with big white plastic beads and rubber washers. And, for the sake of detail, I even filled the hole in the beads with little pieces of rubber tube!
A few pictures of the Lemon Ice Cream Lamp in detail (the forth picture shows the effect created on the milk glass surface when using an halogen bulb -doesn't it look like a full moon? anyway, it is rather pretty!):
Some pictures of the making process: The parts; drilling the hole(s); mounting the legs and wiring plus assembling.

Measures: 24cm diameter and 30cm tall
